On Sunday Night, I took my wife out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We went to a terrific restaurant called Kub Kao Thai & Sushi.

  • The food was excellent!
  • The service was wonderful and the ambiance was upscale and comfortable.
  • Best of all the prices are very reasonable for authentic Thai & Sushi meals.
  • The restaurant is located of University Drive,  just south of Griffin Road near the Publix.

Chef Ji - Kub Kao Thai & Sushi in Davie, Florida

We were fortunate to meet the owner, Chef Ji.  Kub Kao is a modern Thai restaurant. They keep things simple, placing importance on authentic techniques, quality ingredients, and so much flavor. Their recipes are a living history, passed down to Chef Ji by his late grandmother, a feast of spices. With over fifteen years of experience in Thai and Sushi cuisine, Chef Ji recreates his childhood classics for you. From Tom Yum Goong to Gaeng Daeng, he hopes that Kub Kao can be a comfort to all, an authentic Thai food experience: no fuss or frills, simply delicious dishes for young and old to enjoy.

New Broward Restaurant in Davie – Burger21

I recently went to the new burger place in my neighborhood called Burger21. Located just south of Nova Drive off University Drive on the west side of the highway in Davie.

The decor reminds you of a 1950’s diner serving a wide variety with high quality burgers and milkshakes, but they actually offer more.

The burgers are great! The meat is not overcooked and they use Brioche Buns that are tastier then just plain buns (I am not getting paid to write this). If you do takeout like I do, you will like how they bring the food out and show it to you before packing it. The food is fresh and tasty.  I am also a fan of the Super Burger Bowl – a terrific fresh salad (Bacon, Carrots, Mixed Greens, Red Onions, Romaine Lettuce, Tomatoes) with a Hamburger Patty.

I also tried the chicken tenders and as expected they tasted great. Even the thinly cut fries are properly seasoned and taste awesome. There is a wide variety of sauces you can select as a condiment. A wide variety of food to choose from:
